Here is why Indian Monsoon is becoming irregular

Outside India, there is hardly anything like regular seasons but due to increasing sinful activities and diminishing piety, now India too seems to have lost its regular seasons. India, supposedly the land of piety, used to have regular monsoon but lately due to negligence of faithfully conducted Vedic rituals (yes!) the seasons have become irregular. Outside India, there is hardly anything like regular seasons but due to increasing sinful activities and diminishing piety, now India too seems to have lost its regular seasons.

This may sound like coming from ancient villages but you will be surprised to know that villagers are the right people to give the right knowledge to city dwellers, especially when it comes to environmental changes caused by demigods, or devas, who are entrusted by God to manage various cosmic affairs. This year monsoon is expected to boost India’s economy but it remains to be seen where it lands and how it showers.

Vedic science is simple yet powerful. Bhagavad Gita stats:

annād bhavanti bhūtāni parjanyād anna-sambhavaḥ
yajñād bhavati parjanyo yajñaḥ karma-samudbhavaḥ

All living bodies subsist on food grains, which are produced from rains. Rains are produced by performance of yajña [sacrifice], and yajña is born of prescribed duties.

In his purport to this verse, Srila Prabhupada says: “The Supreme Lord, who is known as the yajña-puruṣa, or the personal beneficiary of all sacrifices, is the master of all the demigods, who serve Him as the different limbs of the body serve the whole. Demigods like Indra, Chandra and Varuṇa are appointed officers who manage material affairs, and the Vedas direct sacrifices to satisfy these demigods so that they may be pleased to supply air, light and water sufficiently to produce food grains.” (BG 3.14)
